    Login Screen GUI

Upon the entry to the Blansh Management System visitor is welcomed by the screen which informs about login procedure necessary to connect to the Manager Server. This procedure starts by clicking the left button on the Buttons Bar called Log-in.

Following screen comes up (clock on the image to see it in full):



Entered name and password will be verified by the Manager Server against the database records. In addition to the user verification, the log-in process will report the level of accessibility as it is recorded in the database for a given user name. Returned status and dialog window messages will inform the user about success or failure of the log-in attempt. In the case of success, the authorization level will also be reported.

Authorization level is cached by the Web Server so that each request from the logged-in user will be verified for authorization.

The Authorization button on the top Buttons Bar brings up the Authorization Dialog screen (see below).

Beware: only user who logged-in with a ROOT or ADMINISTRATOR authorization levels will be allowed to retrieve this screen and perform any part of the authorization process.

In this screen the Administrator can

  1. update any field in any row and click <Update DB Row>.

  2. Insert new user record by clicking a respective button bringing up the insert dialog.

  3. Delete row after choosing one.

  4. Export Data which will bring a web page with links to the various formats of the exported authorization records data.

  5. Refresh authorization table to verify updated records in the database.

This screen allows various operations:

  1. To run a select query on the chosen criteria : select all boxes against the fields you want to be included in the >must have> criteria for the query. Then click a <select query> button. Your <select> statement will be displayed in the Query Field of the Result Table so you will see it to verify your choices.

  2. To change any field and run <Update>.

  3. To enter new information and run <Insert>.

    The Authorization field is built as a pull down menu showing all the possible authorization levels to choose from (see screen shot below):

All changes done by user are confirmed by the messages in the browser status field.
