        Intranet-based Retail Chain Management

While integrating the enterprise-wide database records, the bar code scanners, cash registers and other Point Of Sale IP-capable equipment, such a system (if developed based on our Reference Implementation Framework) dramatically simplifies management and control of the whole retail chain enterprise. Using the Browser Web-based GUI screens and a secure transactions between IP-capable cash registers and our Agent Server, ensure simple unified way to automatically update database records when the sale transactions complete as well as automatic notifications sent to the operator when the item is sold out. Such information as a number of each sale item, location of the retail store where it is sold and location of the warehouse where it is stocked are all part of the managed and automatically traced database records.

* Note: The only limiting condition to the ability to connect the existing POS equipment of the retail chain to our Web-based Management System is the availability of IP-based network connection provided by the POS equipment itself or by the third party.

This application might have various number of Managers or Agents depending on the resources under management. Following are two designs both based on our existent Framework and our Blansh Server:

the only one Manager which can handle requests from the Browser GUI and querying multiple Databases to perform gathering of the records and follow-up analysis of them. It is for this architecture we are currently developing a new Database Proxy Server which will be a considerable enhancement to efficiently handle multiple databases.
This approach design is depicted on the picture below.
Manager Server through it's Database Manager controls the enterprise persistent data. Two groups scenarios access the data: those which originate from the Operator's Management GUI and those originated from the Agent Servers. Agent Server automates the updates to the Database repositories by the notifications from the Point Of Sale equipment such as IP-capable cash registers. Agent Server interfaces with POS equipment, provides POS registration with the System and updates Database POS equipment records as well as sale items records. Up-stream notifications to the Web-based operator are generated by the Agent Server to notify about registered events: such as <item is sold out>, etc. .
another architecture with a manager and multiple agents where manager identifies a proper Agent by a group of the data tables provided in the query. Then Agent which receives a query, performs a custom scenario which is developed for this group of tables (for ex. a group of a customer-related tables, a group of the sale items-related tables, etc.). Such architecture makes more sense to tie the Agent to it's own Database, therefore such Agent incorporates a RDBS engine in it. This architecture is similar to the picture above but each Agent Server has it's Database Manager and a Database on the same host.

        Intranet-based Warehouse Management

Similar design we offer to the enterprises which need a Management System to control multiple remote warehouses.

The only difference that there is no Point Of Sale equipment, but remote databases only. Still there might be warehouse-specific IP-capable equipment available which is desirable to connect to the System and automate it's reporting and persistence features.
